Forecast Discussion:

For this forecast period, ozone is expected to remain low in western Pinal County. A low-pressure wave pressing into the region this weekend will also help to keep ozone dispersed. Ozone is forecast in the Good AQI category each day.

PM10 (dust) however, will depend on local activity and the potential for gusts from nearby or distant thunderstorms.

If/when conditions are mostly calm in the mornings or evenings, PM10 will likely be elevated from local activity.

Moreover, given the moisture around southeastern Arizona, along with a low-grade monsoon pattern in place, storm chances will be in the forecast for western Pinal County today and this weekend. Therefore, we can't rule out the possibility of brief blowing dust the next few evenings. But as always, any rain would help to drop dust levels.
