Forecast Discussion:
Stronger easterly winds will come this weekend, but large PM10 increases are not expected as it will be breezy most of the time and will help disperse the PM nearby. After the winds calm down, more typical trends for PM10 will return early next week.
There is a trend for more daily PM2.5 values in the Moderate AQI range the next several days due to more wood burning activities and inversions keeping the smoke near the surface. The breezy easterly winds this weekend are forecasted to help limit values some, but daily values will still be in the Moderate AQI range. Once the winds weaken early next week, the signals from the wood burning activities will be seen more again.
