On June 5, 2026, the comment period begins for the proposal to amend the biohazardous medical waste facility plan for the Stryker Sustainability Solutions, Inc., biohazardous medical waste storage, transfer and treatment facility located in Maricopa County. The comment period ends July 5, 2026.
The proposed amendment seeks to expand current operations by incorporating treatment processes into the existing storage and transfer facility, officially reclassifying the site as a permitted biohazardous medical waste treatment facility.

Stryker Sustainability Solutions, Inc., will receive biohazardous medical waste for storage, transfer, and treatment. The biohazardous medical waste will be treated using an ozone treatment system. Once treated, the shredded and sterilized waste will be disposed of at an approved disposal facility.
